Zoho Show is part of Zoho's office suite, alongside Writer and Sheet, and it works the way most people expect a slide app to work: pick a template or theme, then build and arrange slides directly on a canvas, adding text boxes, images, charts, and tables slide by slide. The core editor is genuinely free for individuals, with no ads and no feature paywall on the base product.

Where Zoho Show earns real credit is collaboration and compatibility. Multiple people can co-edit the same deck in real time, leaving comments and resolving conflicts with minimal friction, and it imports and exports PowerPoint and OpenDocument formats (ppt, pptx, ppsx, pps, potx, odp) with high fidelity, preserving fonts, animations, layouts, and transitions on files up to 500MB. Offline apps for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS sync automatically when you reconnect, and you can wirelessly broadcast a presentation to a smart TV with remote control from a phone.

Zoho has also added Zia, its own AI assistant, into Show at no extra cost: Zia can draft a full deck from a prompt describing your topic, tone, and length, expand an existing deck with new slides that match its design, generate images for a slide, rewrite or summarize content, and turn dense paragraphs into bullet lists. That AI layer sits on top of the same slide-canvas paradigm, though: you still end up arranging and polishing on individual slides rather than working from one evolving document.

Eazy flips the usual order: instead of picking a template and filling slides in, you write your ideas first, in a real block editor with headings, bullet lists, toggle sections, slide dividers, and notes, the same way you'd draft in a document tool. That document stays the source of truth for the whole deck, not a scaffold you discard once slides exist.

If you already have material, Eazy reads it in rather than making you retype it into a canvas. Drop in a PDF, a Word file, a PowerPoint deck, an Excel or CSV spreadsheet, or paste a web link, and it becomes editable content in the same document editor, not a fixed visual layout you can only nudge at the edges.

Design happens once the content is settled, not before it. Every slide is designed for you and on-brand by default, with no template to browse and choose, and applying a theme restyles the entire deck in one step. From there, refine by chatting in plain language: the assistant already knows your whole document, and when you change a single line, only that one slide rebuilds, leaving the rest of the deck exactly as you left it.

The honest dividing line between these two tools is where your work actually begins. If your process starts with an outline that lives in a doc, an existing PDF or Word file, or a spreadsheet of numbers you need to turn into slides, Zoho Show still asks you to translate that into slide-by-slide layout work, even with Zia drafting a first pass. Eazy skips that translation step: the content editor is the deck, and slides come from structure you've already written, like headings and dividers, rather than a canvas you populate by hand.

If your process genuinely starts on a slide, and especially if two or three people need to be in that file at the same time making live edits, Zoho Show's real-time collaboration is a mature, well-reviewed feature Eazy doesn't try to replicate. Teams already standardized on Zoho Writer, Sheet, and Mail also gain real convenience from staying in one ecosystem rather than adopting a separate deck tool.

Neither approach is universally better. A live, co-edited slide canvas tied into a broader office suite solves a different problem than a single content-first document that designs and redesigns itself around what you've written. Choosing between them comes down to whether your bottleneck is getting ideas onto the page in the first place, or coordinating simultaneous edits once slides already exist.

Zoho Show itself carries no cost and no advertising for personal use. Team and business access is sold through Zoho Workplace, the bundled suite that also includes Zoho Writer, Sheet, Mail, WorkDrive, and Cliq: a free plan covers up to five users, and paid Standard and Professional tiers run roughly $3 and $6 per user per month respectively, billed annually, according to third-party pricing trackers (Zoho's own pricing page did not display exact per-user figures at the time of writing, so confirm current numbers directly with Zoho before budgeting).
